Mercedes is also the writer, producer and vocalist for a Jazz Tribute to the late Dr.
Nina Simone, entitled “Strange Fruit” & the “Divine One”- Sarah Vaughn, which
continues to be performed to standing room audiences everywhere.
Some of her exciting performances were a Tribute to Etta James with Bill Anschell on
piano, Phil Sparks on base guitar, Thomas Marriott on Trumpet & Jamael Nance on
drums.
